BHPB IO engages Proteus EPCM for sustaining capital works

 

BHPB Iron Ore has engaged Proteus EPCM Engineers as one of two EPCM engineers to undertake sustaining capital works at Mt Newman, Pt Hedland and associated Pilbara mine sites. The works comprise a current budget of some $300m.

Proteus has been working with BHPB on a range of projects in recent years, and is currently undertaking -

·         Port Hedland Fuel Facility, (circa $60m)

·         Mt Newman Beneficiation Plant upgrade (circa$20 m)

BHPB IO lead the world in advanced safety, health and environmental management systems.  Proteus fully supports and complies with these systems philosophically and operationally on all projects.  We have recently been re-certified to AS 4801 Safety Management by Burean Veritas in their regular six-monthly audit of the Proteus SHE (Safety Health and Environment) Management System.
